“Be Strong” Challenge Program Fact Sheet

Refueling with lowfat chocolate milk after a tough routine can give you and your squad another reason to cheer. Actress, singer and former TV cheerleader, Ashley Tisdale, has partnered with the National Milk Mustache “got milk?”® Campaign and American Cheerleader magazine, to launch the “Be Strong” Challenge. The exciting new program highlights how lowfat chocolate milk can help cheerleaders refuel and replenish their bodies after a tough practice or routine and help them “Be Strong” for the next workout or competition.

R-E-Charge and R-E-Fuel with Chocolate Milk
Rigorous workouts take their toll on an athlete’s muscles and body. That’s why after strenuous tumbling, stunts and jumps, cheer squads can turn to nature’s recovery drink, chocolate milk. Lowfat chocolate milk naturally has many of the nutrients most commercial recovery drinks have to add in the lab – including high-quality protein and key electrolytes like calcium, potassium, sodium and magnesium. And, it’s a great-tasting, affordable alternative to expensive protein powders and recovery drinks.

“Be Strong” and Take the Challenge
The “Be Strong” Challenge encourages cheer squads across the country to show how they can “Be Strong” by refueling with chocolate milk. To enter, squads must upload a brief video to AmericanCheerleader.com/BeStrong until October 12, 2011. Teens across the country will vote on the strongest squad, and for every vote $1 will go to Cheer for a Cure. The winning squad will receive $5,000 and become a star in a Milk Mustache ad in American Cheerleader magazine, just like Ashley Tisdale!
